Dubai, an unusual reality
The first evidences of the city dates back to 1799. It is one of the seven states of the United Arab Emirates and the most important city of the nation. Dubai is located in the Persian Gulf and borders with the state of Sharajah, in the south-west and with the great city of Abu-Dhabi in the north-east of United Arab Emirates.
Dubai looks like an exotic paradise, surrounded by desert and sea. It is known with its ancient art and culture on the one side and an innovative, modern architecture of the city on the other side, as they are both giving rise to this modern metropolis.
The modern look and unusual design of the city is aimed to attract tourists and investors from all over the world. The tourism is the most important economic factor of the Dubai city. However, the major financial centres such as banks, credit facilities, the Dubai International Financial Centre, maritime trade, the IT sector and air transport with its national Emirates Airline are also significant for the economic development of the country.
The city offers to its visitors an opportunity to see all those modern and unique buildings and palaces which you can find only in Dubai! There you will find displays of an ancient pictures, portraying consecutive levels of city's development over the years, as well as various exhibitions of the Khaijars, traditional Arabic daggers.
